Using the DirectX diagnostic tool to troubleshoot create a report to submit to support

You can use the DirectX diagnostic tool to discover the manufacturer of the devices that may need updated drivers and visit those manufacturer web sites to download those updated drivers.

To run the tool, please follow these steps:
  1. Select "Run" from the Start menu in Windows

  2. Type "dxdiag" (without quotes) in the prompt

  3. The Diagnostic Tool will appear. It will show a list of system attributes including operating system, video card, and more. Select the "Save All Information" button

  4. Save the text file in a location where you can locate it later
When the Support Team requests for a DxDiag they are referring to the .txt file that was saved. You can attach that file in a response/ticket to the Support Team. If you have additional questions about this process, please contact Support for help.
