Error 06: Failed Internet Connection

When running Requiem if you get an error message such as,

"Error 06: Failed Internet Connection"

This means that the Updater is not able to get a connection between your computer and our patch server. To prevent/resolve this issue, please do the following:

• Make sure that Requiem is allowed to access the internet by allowing the folder through your computer's Firewall and Anti-Virus program. (Contact support for the security software’s manufacturer for further assistance.)
• If you are using a router, make sure that you have the correct ports open to the game's servers. Here's an article on how to do this.
• The issue may be too many players trying to connect at once or too many connections through a hop along the route from your system to our servers and you simply just need to keep trying, or try again at a later time to see if you are able to connect.
• Also, there is a chance that the game is undergoing weekly Scheduled Maintenance and the servers are brought down for this, for information on when this occurs, please check the Requiem directory on the forums.
