(Comcast Customers) Connection Issues, No Connection to Server or Site


(Comcast Customers) I am having connection issues that won't let me patch Ragnarok or even view the Ragnarok Website.

Right now there are a lot of Comcast customers who are unable in part or in full to get to our website and patch our game.

It turns out that it’s the result of a comcat detecting that our DNSSEC security protocols are invalid/out of date.
For now, there are two workarounds for this.

  1. Having users switch from Comcast DNS to Google DNS: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/
  2. If they are unable to change their DNS, point them towards this post which others have reported fixes the issue at least temporarily: http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/107428-failed-to-conect-patch-server/page__view__findpost__p__1220753

Our IT team is working on contacting Comcast to get things straightened out, so please have users try the work arounds and let them know that we are working on a long term fix in the meantime.
